Registration



The conference banquet is sold out. Therefore, a full registration is no longer available. Limited registration is still open, and includes access to the same programming as a full registration.
The only difference between the two registrations is that the conference banquet and awards luncehon are included in a full registration. Ticekts can be purchased separately for the awards luncheon.


The Onsite Registration Area will be located at the Washington Hilton on the International Terrace Level, (Terrace Level). All attendees and accompanying guests must register and receive a conference badge in order to participate in conference activities.

Registration is required for all participants of IEEE GLOBECOM 2016
Authors must be registered by Thursday, 8 September 2016. Please do not share your registration confirmation code with anyone else. Although the code enables submission of up to three papers, it can only be used once, by you, to create an author account for these submissions.


PLEASE REMEMBER: At least one author of an accepted paper must register at the FULL OR LIMITED (RG01-RG06) rate for the Main Conference, and at the non-student rate (RG17, RG17A, RG18, RG 18A) for the Workshops, even if the author is a student. 
 
For the Main Conference, authors presenting multiple papers, one registration is valid for one person; however, it can cover up to three (3) papers on which the person who is registered is an author or co-author.
 
For the Workshops, authors presenting multiple papers in the same workshop, one registration is valid for one person; however, it can cover up to three (3) papers in the same workshop on which the person who is registered is an author or co-author. If one person has multiple papers in different Workshops, the person should register for each Workshop.

IEEE COMSOC POLICY: To be published in the IEEE GLOBECOM 2016 Conference Proceedings and to be eligible for publication in IEEE Xplore, an author of an accepted paper is required to register for the conference at the FULL or LIMITED (member or non-member) rate and the paper must be presented by an author of that paper at the conference unless the TPC Chair grants permission for a substitute presenter in advance of the event and who is qualified both to present and answer questions. Non-refundable registration fees must be paid prior to uploading the final IEEE formatted, publication-ready version of the paper. For authors with multiple accepted papers, one FULL or LIMITED registration is valid for up to 3 papers. Accepted and presented papers will be published in the IEEE GLOBECOM 2016 Conference Proceedings and submitted to IEEE Xplore®.

All final submissions should be written in English with a maximum paper length of six (6) printed pages (10-point font) including figures without incurring additional page charges (maximum 1 additional page with over length page charge of US $100 if accepted). Papers exceeding 7 pages will not be accepted by IEEE Conference eXpress.


ACCOMPANYING COMPANION/SPOUSE/SIGNIFICANT OTHER (also referred to as "Guest"):


You are allowed to register only one Guest, who will be given one GUEST badge. Your Guest will not be allowed to attend any conference sessions. Guests may attend the Welcoming Reception. All registration categories may purchase Tour & Social Event Tickets for your Guest. Guests must not be an author, co-author or Student.
 

Attendees with Children at the Conference
Children are not permitted entry into session rooms. Children under the age of 18 are not permitted on the Exhibit Hall floor during setup or dismantling hours. During scheduled show hours, exceptions are made when parents or guardians complete
and sign a Minor Release Form. This form will be available at Attendee Registration Assistance in the Registration Area. Parents or guardians must complete and sign the Minor Release Form to allow children access to the Exhibits and Poster Hall. Your support and compliance are greatly appreciated.
 
The release forms will be provided by staff and will be available at the registration desk.
 

CANCELLATION POLICY


All refund/cancellation requests must be provided in writing and received by Friday, 4 November 2016. There will be an administrative fee of US $100 deducted from each refund. You can modify or cancel your registration using the "Already Registered?" link on the registration site.


TRANSFER POLICY


All requests for registration transfers must be submitted to http://globecom2016.ieee-globecom.org/transfer and received by Friday, 4 November 2016. After November 04, there will be a US $100 transfer fee imposed and possible additional fees depending upon the new registrant's membership status for each request.


PRESENTER SUBSTITUTION POLICY


If a co-author is NOT available to present the paper at the conference, the TPC Chair can grant permission in some extreme cases to have the paper presented by a qualified substitute presenter. If you need to make such a request, please fill out a Substitute Presenter Form no later than Friday 4, November 2016. A copy of the form goes directly to the TPC Chair for approval.


VISA ASSISTANCE LETTERS


Visa Assistant Letters (soft copy in PDF format) will be sent to all attendees who requested a letter during registration and have paid their fees in full. Those needing a hard copy of the letter must complete a ComSoc Visa Assistance Request (http://visa.comsoc.org/). Request for a hard copy visa letter will be subject to a US $25 fee to cover the cost of courier delivery.
